We have a new company in San Carlos that manufactures Whole House Surge Protectors that install at the electric meter and protect the entire house (110 and 220 volt appliances) from high voltage surges. Our products have been tested by the government labs. (ANCE) and have received NOM approval which is like UL approval in the states. The cost is $630.00 Pesos. Instalation is simple and should include an inspection of the electrical instalation in the home to insure that wallplugs are grounded and that they are wired with the proper polarity. Things that are easy and inexpensive to repair if found to be wrong. Due to our efforts, the university of Technoligy in Hermasillo now offers a 15 day course that teaches how a home needs to be wired. We would be willing to send interested parties to school.
