El Tapeo Wine and Tapas Bar is again hosting the 2nd Annual Chevefest (beer festival). Mark your calendar for September 17, 2016 for this fun event. All of the breweries are from Baja Norte, Mexico. Micro breweries have popped up from Tijuana to Ensenada and I must say are giving the micro breweries in the Untied States a run for their money.
Upon a recent visit to El Tapeo, we tried a few of the beers. Not only loved the labels like The Vaquita and Humpy Humpy from North Coast Brewery, the beers are all as good as their names. The have IPA’s, double and triple IPA’s and that is just for starters. So now, not only is the Valley de Guadalupe known for their fabulous wines, but they adding micro beers to the portfolio. There are over 20 micro breweries in the region.
Laura Palacio, the owner of El Tapeo, is known for putting on 1st class festivals. I am sure many of you remember the successful Wine Festival a couple of years ago with several great wineries present as well cheese purveyors from The Valley de Guadalupe to say nothing about the entertainment. This festival will also feature local musicians as well as great food and wonderful COLD BEER.
What a better way to spend an evening enjoying a sunset on the Sea of Cortez while enjoying great beer, food, music and friendships. Plan your trip around this festival and get you condo or hotel room booked today. With fall hopefully around the corner by September 17, this will be the start of Puerto Peñasco’s festival season.
Remember Puerto Peñasco may be a small city in size but we know how to throw a party! So come on down and join the fun.
