The resorts in Puerto Penasco use a property management system to manage the individual condos in each resort. When you hear the word, "property management", it is referring to the company that will clean and maintain an individual unit in a resort. The majority of condos in Rocky Point are owned by individual owners who rent their unit out to the public through a property management company. This can be both good and bad. The good is the luxury that you could end up with assuming you find an individual who furnished their unit with extreme care. The bad is the unfortunate renters that end up renting a unit for the "cheap" guy. We try to weed out as many resort units as we can when we get negative feedback about any individual condo. But time takes its toll on these individual units and we cannot always keep up with every unit.

The hotels are owned by one individual. This will help assure that you will have more consistency from one unit to the other, unfortunately, you are no longer looking at the lap of luxury. There is a clear trade-off between resorts and hotels. There is a difference in price, there is generally a difference in quality.

The hotels offer more variety if you are trying to stay in different areas in Rocky Point. For the Spring Break crowd, you want to make sure you go to a hotel that will not get you evicted. If you want to party at places like Manny's beachclub, you will need to consider Playa Inn or Plaza Penasco. It is a long walk but you could probably stumble over to Manny's.

If you are looking for a little bit more privacy, you might consider looking into one our homes. For large groups, you definitely want to look into the homes. They provide much more privacy than the resorts/hotels. We have homes in many locations throughout Rocky Point. Please take a look at the map below. The most popular home rental destinations would be Las Conchas. After that Playa Encanto and Playa La Jolla are also popular destinations. The homes on Sandy Beach are definitely top notch. We recommend that you take your time going through our inventory before making your final selection. The process is simple, you select your arrival date below, then enter the length of your stay. Occupany will be the total number of guests in your party. In order to help you narrow down your results, we recommend that you select an area from the areas shown below.

After a few years living in Rocky Point I can hardly find something I don’t like about it. I first made my choice about this place knowing that there would be many things to see and do, I was not wrong! Besides having a lot to enjoy with outdoor activities, I have also found my small piece of heaven where I get my big doses of peace and tranquility, forgetting about traffic and crowded spaces...some people might find this type of life good to enjoy only during vacation periods but I find it good to enjoy all year long.

Rocky Point has many things to offer to visitors no matter where you are coming from and you will always find a smile and a great service spirit in its people. Working in the travel industry for a few years now, you can get to appreciate that the offerings in Rocky Point are way different from other places. The standards of quality and service in Rocky Point are not comparable to any other… Perhaps you’ll need to get to know a little bit better about its properties and how they are managed. Most of the properties make the biggest effort to compete for best services and amenities, but when renting a condo you need to be aware that pretty much you will be on your own, some places do not offer daily cleaning, you need to bring your own beach towels and sometimes even your bathroom treats. That doesn’t mean that you can't still have a great stay, do not take anything for granted and understand from any of the rentals exactly what you are getting… Knowing the services and amenities that are included is part of the planning for a stress free trip.
