There is a 3-night minimum stay on holidays and Spring Break. There is also a 2-night minimum stay on any reservation unless it is a weekday reservaton or a weekend during off-season. In order to preserve the peaceful family atmosphere at our Rocky Point Resorts, the person responsible for checking in will have an age limitation (I.D. will be required upon check-in and must match name on reservation). During Holidays and Spring Break THE INDIVIDUAL CHECKING IN MUST BE 25 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER. All other times, the age limit for the person checking in is 21 years of age or older. No smoking inside condos. No pets of any size/breed. Our resorts do not allow fireworks.

With the completion of resorts such as Sonoran Sea, Sonoran Spa, Bella Sirena, Princesa De Penasco, Las Palomas, Sonoran Sun, Las Gaviotas and Marina Pinacate tourists are coming from everywhere. Our review forum allows people to post their positive or negative experiences and the user can read about them and also make a Rocky Point Reservation. Puerto Penasco is growing and we hope to provide you with useful information about our beautiful town.

February 26, 2011	Love the sand level units We stayed at Las Gaviotas a couple of times. It is adjacent to what used to be the Plaza Las Glorias (now Penascos del Sol) Hotel where the Rocky Point Triathlon transition area used to be before it moved to Las Palomas in 2006. The sand-level units were wonderful. Lots of tile and direct beach access and so close to the start of the race. Also you could walk across the sand to many restaurants which was quite convenient. We also stayed on the third level once. It was nice enough and still close to the ocean -- just walk through the complex and down some steps, but I definitely prefered being directly on the beach - go for the sand level if you can get it. I think they are all two bedroom / 2 bath units. The blenders worked great for making margaritas. Pick up some queso blanco and fresh tortillas hot off the grill on the way down -- and don't forget the wonderful giant shrimp when in season. Makes me want to drive back down today!
