Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco): Water and Ice

Can I drink the water in Rocky Point? The general advice is NO, do not drink water from the tap in Rocky Point. That being said, then what is ok to drink down in Rocky Point?

There is bottled water available for purchase almost any where you go. If you are dining in a restaurant, you can drink with confidence that the ice cubes served in your drink are made from purified water. You can also buy bottled water in the Rocky Point restaurants. If a restaurant is offering you a glass of water just ask if it is purified water, it should be.

If you made your Rocky Point reservations and you are staying at a resort, many of the resorts offer bigger bottles of purified water for water coolers in your Rocky Point condos. Not all condos are required to be equipped with a water cooler but most condos have them in there. If this is the case for your condo, just drink the bottled water that the resort provided for you.
