Topic: First-tiem visit to Puerto Penasco Goto page 1, 2Next
I am considering a first-time visit to Puerto Penasco, and I have a few questions.
1. I read in the pet Q&A that you need a rabies certificate no older than six months. But rabies vaccines are good for three years....so do I actually have to revaccinate my dog in order to bring her in? Has anyone taken their dog with a certificate older than six months?
2. Can anyone recommend a place to stay that's nice but not too expensive?
(Around $100-$125 a night?)
3. Is it safe to bring your car to this area?
I would appreciate your advice.

As long as you have a rabies tag. I bring my dog down at least once a month and have never had any issues. Yes it is safe to bring your car down and don't forget to get Mexican insurance before crossing. Look at the various rental sites for places to rent.
